My Neighborhood Trends also offers a widget which displays smaller maps for those who want a smaller map. All maps are updated daily as information changes.

2. Can't I just get local data and information anywhere?

Many real estate web sites and data provider have current home values and property information; however these are all based on historical data, sometimes months or even worst, more than a YEAR old. Even worse, most current real estate variables are at such a high level of geography such as Market or City, that these aggregated values are extremely INACCURATE for any home or Block. Definitions:
Census Block Group (Blocks): There are 290,000 Blocks in the US, and My Neighborhood Trends covers them all. Defined by the US government as where there are approximately 300 houses or households. Historically, the Block trends are the most important variables to consider when investing and proper risk assessment.
Census Tract (Tracts): There are 65,000 Tracts in the US.
Zip Codes: There are roughly 45,000 Zip Codes in the US.
Neighborhoods: My Neighborhood Trends monitors the top 20,000 neighborhoods.
Cities: My Neighborhood Trends monitors the top 20,000 cities.
Counties: There are currently 3,219 counties in the US, and My Neighborhood Trends covers them all.
Market: There are 396 Metro Markets in the US, and typically there is VERY LITTLE correlation of ANY Block information or property data, to the Market.
